The Hoodie — braev/

What we are building.

One hoodie. Heavyweight, boxy, made to order.

Almost nothing on the outside of it, and a great deal on the inside.

Fabric450 gsm, 100 percent cotton French terry. Not brushed back, because brushed back pills and goes fuzzy after a season.
HoodTwo panels, cut deeper and wider than a standard hood. It sits over braids, locs and thick natural hair rather than flattening them, and it fits over a pair of over ear headphones.
LiningThe hood and both pocket bags are lined in satin. Sewn flat, not floating.
PocketA kangaroo pocket deep enough that both hands go in to the wrist. Inside it, a hidden nylon zip compartment, invisible from the outside, that holds a phone, keys and an ID. No metal on it anywhere.
BackCompletely blank. No print, no graphic, no text.
FrontOne small embroidered letter. Tonal, so you have to be close to see it.
InsideA bee is hidden somewhere in every hoodie. It stands for the work nobody sees. The position changes from run to run, and we never say where.
NeckOne soft woven label, tonal, with the mark and the size. Nothing printed on the skin, nothing scratchy.
SleeveA small tonal woven label set into the right sleeve seam.

A sample is being sewn right now by a manufacturer who is building his own business at the same time we are building ours.

When it arrives we are going to wear it, wash it several times and try to break it. If it is not right we will make another one.

We would rather be late than send twenty five athletes something we have not tested.
